Our Heavy Duty Beeswax Waterproofing Bar is crafted from the highest quality beeswax and a blend of durable waxes, making it an exceptional choice for tough waterproofing jobs. From outdoor equipment to horse covers, trekking boots, canvas jackets, and more, this bar delivers superior protection against the elements. Whether it's tackling tent seams, fishing gear, or synthetic and canvas horse covers, this versatile bar can waterproof nearly anything you need.

Please note: If you are allergic to bees, avoid using this product, as the beeswax heating process may attract bees from a distance.

Application Instructions:
Ensure the surface is clean and dry before application.
Rub the wax bar onto the fabric in back-and-forth motions to create the necessary friction and loosen the wax.
Spread the wax evenly and heat the wax into the fabric using:A heat gun.
A hairdryer on HIGH heat (for small garments).
An iron on a LOW SYNTHETIC setting.

For large surfaces (e.g., horse covers), consider applying a second coat after thoroughly heating the first layer.
If the wax appears white and sticky, it hasn’t fully cured. Reapply heat until the wax melts into the fabric and cures properly.
Allow the wax to dry and cure overnight.
For best results on horse covers, we recommend 2 bars for a 5ft cover, but one bar may suffice if you’re only waterproofing seams and stitching to maintain breathability.
Tips for Use:
The wax darkens the fabric and gives it a subtle shine. Use more wax on untreated fabrics as they absorb more than pre-waxed items.
Reapply annually for maximum protection.
Waxing works best for one-sided waterproofing, creating a seal on the top layer while preserving the factory finish on the rest of the garment.
Perfect for re-proofing factory-oiled fabrics like oilskins, providing a deeper wax penetration for long-lasting protection.
Important:
Do not use on thin cotton horse sheets, as beeswax can attract dirt unless properly cured and dried.
To wash out wax, set your washing machine to 60 degrees and wash the garment twice. For larger items, place in a plastic bag and put it in the dryer for 10-minute increments.
Do not use turpentine to thin the wax, as it is highly flammable. If thinning is necessary, use an oil.
